Camping First Aid Kit Checklist

In your car, in your RV and in your daypack – you should always be carrying a first aid kit. A small cut can turn into a gnarly infection if it’s not taken care of right away. And if you do happen to have a more serious wound, it’s important that you have the right tools on you until you can find a medical professional’s help. It’s important to note that not all first aid kits are created equally. Some just have bandaids and antiseptic wipes, while others come equipped with a multitude of tools that can come in handy during an emergency. If you’re on a long road trip or doing some backcountry hiking, you’ll need a first aid kit that’s got it all. We’ve compiled a list of items that you should keep on you during your travels. There’s a lot of YouTubers who have informative videos on how to handle certain medical emergencies while camping. Dave Collins video Emergency First Aid Skills for the Backcountry is a great place to start. Stay safe and take care of your fellow campers on the trail!
